COVID-19 update

Our mission, our model and our process remain the same; however, due to the ongoing pandemic, we have made a few adjustments to allow us to carry on safely this year. We will continue to monitor the CDC guidelines and will update you on any policy changes as needed.

Events

Impact Grants Chicago will hold some in-person events, and some will be virtual. For everyone’s safety, only fully vaccinated members and guests may attend our in-person events or meetings. Proof of vaccination (a vaccine card or photo of the card) may be required. Masks must be worn when not eating or drinking.

After an event, if any attending individual tests positive for COVID-19 or learns that they were in close contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19, we request that they immediately notify us at info@impactgrantschicago.org. We will contact all individuals present at the event, keeping the names of those involved confidential.

Grant Review and Financial Review Committees

For the 2021-2022 cycle, members who wish to join a Grant or Financial Review Committee will have a choice to join either a virtual committee or one with a combination of virtual and in-person meetings. For in person meetings, we will have the same COVID-19 protocol as we do for our events.

Grant Awards Celebration

We are planning to hold our 2021-2022 Grant Awards Celebration as an in-person event on June 1, 2022.

Unrestricted Grant Funds

Due to the changing nature of COVID-19 restrictions, we have decided to make our 2021-2022 grant awards unrestricted for one more year. We will ask the grant recipients to use our funds for the project or program they submitted in the Full Grant Application, but they will have flexibility if their priorities change due to COVID-19 or other circumstances.
