Each year women join Impact Grants Chicago to collectively fund $100,000 Impact Grants to Chicago nonprofits that are dedicated to addressing the challenges facing our city. In 2018, we had 470 members and awarded four Impact Grants of $100,000 and four $17,500 Merit Grants.$100,000 Impact Grant Award Recipient
Communities in Schools of Chicago’s mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and succeed in life. The vision of CIS of Chicago is to ensure that each and every Chicago public school student graduates from high school prepared to succeed.
The Impact Grant will help fund an expansion of the Intensive Program to two new schools by placing a full-time MSW-level Student Supports Manager in each school to provide case-management and counseling to students per school who are at high risk of dropping out.

$100,000 Impact Grant Award Recipient
La Casa Norte's mission is to serve youth and families confronting homelessness. We provide access to stable housing and deliver comprehensive services that act as a catalyst to transform lives and communities.
The Impact Grant will fund a portion of The Foundation Project, which is furnishing the Pierce House, a new development providing housing for homeless and at-risk youth and families, with appliances; and financing the build-out of The Nutrition Center, a teaching kitchen, café and food pantry serving the residents and the surrounding community. www.lacasanorte.org
$100,000 Impact Grant Award Recipient
One Million Degrees empowers low-income, highly motivated community college students to succeed in school, in work, and in life.
The Impact Grant will help fund the new Leveraging Technology to Launch the Next Decade of Capacity-Building initiative, which includes the development and installation of two new technologies for an employee on-boarding and training program and a mobile website that will allow for updates and additions to curriculum and easier access to supplementary resources. www.onemilliondegrees.org

Teen Living Programs is a non-profit organization that has supported and strengthened Chicago’s most vulnerable young people for over 40 years.
The Impact Grant will fund the new Professional Readiness and Placement Program, providing employment education, support, advocacy, and placement; one on one meetings with a program case manager; intensive job readiness classes; and workplace etiquette and individualized support to obtain and maintain employment. www.tlpchicago.org
